There are different aspects and identical ones between Plato and Laozi about human being and nature. The kernel theory of plato is "idea" , in which nature is little discussed and huan being is more. The features of nature and human being mainly were discussed in the "idea" .The separation about ideatical world and realistical one is the main character of theory. Laozi discussed more about nature and human being than Plato. And he stressed ideas of "oneness the heave and the human".Then he raised the theory of "tao fellowing the example of nature" . Therefore, their ideas are of momentous current significance and far_reaching theoretical significance about protecting environment today.Plato inherited and developed Socrate' s ideas. In the early stage, Plato discussed "dialectics" that was the method of seeking the essence of things and the way of gaining knowledge. Then in the latter, he created the "idea" , where the idealistical world and the realistical one were separated, that were influencing the west two thousands of years. Finally, he found the gap between the two world , and turned his attention to nature to seek the answer. Being influened by Pythagoreas, Plato realized that number was the "idea" .As we know, Plato' s ideas mainly embody in the "idea" .Laozi raised the theory of "tao fellowing the example of the nature" .He realized that contradictions about nature and human being was what human being went agaist the tao, and that culture played negative role in the development of society. He hoped that he could found a road to brilliant future for people in that time. Therefore, he raised the theory of "the taofellowing the example of the nature". He pointed out that nature and human being should combine into one , and human being should adhere to the tao .But there are limits in their ideas, where Plato payed no attention to the relation between the nature and human being , and greatly emphasized the "separation" ;meanwhile Laozi didon' t notice it at last.
