Seclusion is a kind of deep culture phenomenon with historic connotation, the seclusion literature can be traced back to long before in Chinese literature history. As one of the important poets in the time of Nandu, Zhu Dunru has created large amounts of poems implying his pursuit for living in seclusion. Free, unrestrained style and deeply depression in his heart have been fully demonstrated in his poems. He has written so many poems that all these creations have been included into a collection named Qiao Ge. Based on this collection, this essay briefly discusses this poet's life experiences and poem creating in different periods. It focuses on analyzing the reasons for the poet's pursuit for living in seclusion in the specific historic period between the two Song dynasties and thus explains his isolated life experiences and psychological evolution. In this way, this essay comments on his reclusive ideology completely and demonstrates the dilemma of Chinese intellectuals of the ancient times in whether to take on the official career or not. Finally, through the literal analysis of his works and the analysis of the influence of Buddha and Tao, this essay specifies the reclusive style of Zhu Dunru's poems, interprets the characteristics and connotation of Zhuxizhen' Style and thus confirms Zhu Dunru' s prominent status in the history of poems of reclusive style.
