Objective:To reveal the influencing factors of the undergraduate students' weight-control behaviors and provide some valuable suggestions for building a comprehensive intervention model on undergraduate students' weight-control, we investigates the current situation of the undergraduate students' weight-control behaviors in Zhejiang Province. We also try to find out the relationships and pathways among the undergraduate students' weight-control behaviors, weight locus of control, social support and self-efficacy.Methods:We investigated1504undergraduate students of Zhejiang Province randomly. We used stratified random cluster sampling method and self-administered questionnaire, including weight-control behaviors questionnaire, weight locus of control scale, social support scale and self-efficacy scale. In order to analysis the influencing factors of the undergraduate students'weight-control behaviors, we used non-parametric test and general linear regression methods. And we used the rank correlation and path analysis to investigate the relationships and pathways among the undergraduate students' weight-control behaviors, weight locus of control, social support and self-efficacy.Results:Though the undergraduate students' weight and health status was generally acceptable (the normal-weight students accounted for69.1%), they didn't know how to control their weight properly.15.4%of the underweight students thought that they were a little heavy.50.4%of the normal-weight students thought that they were a little and even too heavy.12.2%of the overweight and obese students thought that they were just right. The underweight and normal-weight students still took measures to lose weight. The former accounted for13.1%and the latter was36.2%. The overweight students who didn't take any measures to control their weight accounted for50.7%and the obese students who didn't take any steps to control their weight were20%, Their differences were statistically significant (P<0.001). In the total score of the undergraduate students'weight-control behaviors (92±17), Boys' scores (96.0±15.0)were better than girls'(88.0±18.0). The scores of the students whose living costs of every month were little (97.0±10.5) were better than the students whose living costs of every month were much(90.0±20.0)and their differences were statistically significant (P<0.001). The high-score group of the weight-control behaviors'total score in the score of the intrinsic weight locus of control(17.0±4.0) was higher than its low-score group (16.0±5.0). The high-score group of the weight-control behaviors' total score in the score of the occasional weight locus of control (10.0±4.0) was lower than its low-score group (11.0±3.0). The high-score group of the weight-control behaviors'total score in the score of the social support (40.0±8.0) was higher than its low-score group (38.0±8.0). The high-score group of the weight-control behaviors' total score in the score of the self-efficacy (26.5±6.0) was higher than its low-score group (24.0±6.0). In the multi-factor analysis, self-efficacy, gender, occasional weight locus of control, external weight locus of control, district, the subjective support, the utilization of support and living costs of every month could directly affected the undergraduate students' weight-control behaviors. The intrinsic weight locus of control, occasional weight locus of control and subjective support had an impact on weight-control behaviors of students through self-efficacy indirectly. Subjective support and objective support could indirectly influence their behaviors by acting on the utilization of support. Conclusion:Though the undergraduate students' weight status was generally acceptable, they didn't know how to control their weight properly. Self-efficacy, gender, occasional weight locus of control, external weight locus of control, district, the subjective support, the utilization of support and living costs of every month were the important factors of affecting the undergraduate students'weight-control behaviors. Inherent weight locus of control and occasional weight locus of control influenced their behaviors through the self-efficacy, Subjective support and objective support influence their behaviors indirectly through the utilization of support, It was the result of the interaction of psycho logical factors, social environment, and many other factors. We should take some measures to promote the undergraduate students' weight-control behaviors positively. We should try to establish a good network of social support. We need to integrate and construct a harmonious campus and do my best to build a dynamic management system of the undergraduate students' weight-control behaviors.
