Comment On The Poetesses In Tang Dynasty

The poets in Tang Dynasty are so great that nobody can keep up with them. Their poems are classical literature. At the same time, the female poets are on the edge of social in Tang Dynasty, as well as their poems, but they are still outstanding in the history of poetry.The poetesses in Tang Dynasty is not only numerous but also active to take part in the social life of the time, especially to keep the closely contacts with the group of the first-class poets. The phenomenon reflected the open ethos and the improvement of female's social position of the day. The emergence of them not only enriched the Tang's social scenes but also provided many treasurable materials for scholars' composition. which is the important compulsion to the Tang poetry development.The poetesses in Tang Dynasty also formed a peculiar scenery in the history of female culture circle. Compared with the talented females of other dynasties, the poetesses of Tang were equipped with peculiar styles and characteristics. This is related to the cultural background of Tang's prevailing open custom.There have been much of articles on the female poets in Tang Dynasty, but mostly focus on the domains of some poetesses , LiYe, XuTao, and so on. As a result, the dissertation attempt to set forth the ideas about center-edge relationship, then to study these women as a whole from some aspects, included female's social position, their society and education, their emotion and writings.
