Dufrenne is a great master in the field of contemporary phenomenology aesthetics. His magnum opus "The phenomenology of Aesthetic Experience"is one of the most important works in the campaign of phenomenology Obviously influenced by E Husserl, Sartre and Merleau-Ponty etc, Dufrenne established his aesthetics of phenomenology. By critics of the predecessor's theories, he founded his unique theory. In "The phenomenology of Aesthetic Experience ", Dufrenne told artistic works from aesthetic object and profoundly defined the latter: aesthetic conscious artistic works. Neither a material entity nor a spiritual object is aesthetic object. Its present process includes not only anticipation of object also active establishment of consciousness. Aesthetic object stands for object-subject relation. The presentation of aesthetic object is consisted of sensibility, sense, forms and world. In addition, they mix each other and improve each other. Furthermore, the presentation of aesthetic object is built on the basis of aesthetic works'structure, which includes: artistic materials, topic and presentation. The transfer from artistic works to aesthetic object needs two necessary premises: one is that artistic works is presented to consciousness; the other is that artistic work is felt aesthetically. Meanwhile, during the process, "performance"is necessary for consciousness out of the presentation of artistic works. At the view of the noumenal statues, Dufrenne discussed action of performance, which is absolutely necessary for the transfer from artistic works to aesthetic object. Dufrenne'performance theory has three parts: the performances given by performers, the performances given by creators and the performances given by appreciators. In addition, Dufrenne also discussed the extreme forms of performance, that is, copy. And then, he showed the difference between copy and model.
