The Influence That The New Type Law Impact On The Society Of Minority Nationalities In The 1950s In Xinjiang

With the establishment of People's Republic of China, there has been a great transformation in Xinjiang minority nationality after 1949. The foundation of brand-new legal system, which impacts tremendously on the development of Xinjiang's society. Looking back on the past history, although there really exists errors in society construction, socialist legal concept has been taken root in minority nationality society. Studying on this issue, it will provide us with historical practices and lessons and enforce newly legal construction. Based on the influence of new type law upon minority nationalities in Xinjiang in the 1950s, this thesis discusses the changes and development of those nationalities from multi-angles and at varied phases. It analyzes the profound effect brought about by the changes and development of minority nationalities society on minority nationalities society The whole thesis is divided into five parts.The first part, the issue of new type law which focuses on the historical background when the new type law was issued and carried out with adjustments and supplements. The second part: the impact of Marriage Law on matrimonial customs of minority nationalities in Xinjiang. This part discusses the changes that new Marriage Law has made on traditional marriage concerning preconditions and form for marriage, and conditions for divorce. The third part——the impact of Land Reform Law on rural society of minority nationalities, analyzing the achievement of Land Reform Law through its reforms on old pattern of feudal land economy, which further exerted influence on rural society of minority nationalities. The fourth part mainly discusses the function of regulations and law on regional autonomy for minority nationalities. After the Law on Regional Autonomy for Minority Nationalities has been put into effect, it has exerted unprecedented influence on society of minority nationalities on aspects as politics, culture, education and relationship between nationalities.
