According to the developing of Laoshe's creations, the article analyzes where the laugh andthe tears come from in Laoshe's novels. Regarding Laoshe's thought on the life value as aclue, it also tries to analyze the blending of many kinds of emotional mood in order tomanifest the connotations of tragedy and comedy relatively and their dialogic relationship.In the studies of Laoshe, humor is regarded as mere rhetorical style at first. And now, moreand more researchers become to play more attentions to the tragic core of the humor. But thecomic connation of Laoshe'humor still has not been fully studied, which lead to that therelationship between the tragic style and the comic style has been neglected.There are two life styles, the tragic characters and the comic characters, in laoshe's novels.The tragedy deprives of the unfortunate destiny of those tragic characters at the first place andthe ironies to those comic characters lead to laughing. Based on the proceeding analyzing, wecan conclude that the contravention about Laoshe's opinion on life value lies in the conflictbetween the life's spiritual value and the destiny.The tragic style, which is multi-vocal, has fundamental meanings in Laoshe's novels.Through the analyzing on Divorce, The Camel and Xiangzi and so on, we can see that Laoshecreate all kinds of dialogic relationship in the course of the tragedy of the protagonists'bodyand spirit, which involve complicated polytonality. According to the proceedings, we canconclude Laoshe's peculiar circumstance sense as a person living in the last phase of the age.At the disposal of such sense, Laoshe express profound tragic consciousness in the life valuecontravention of the people living in the last phase of the age.
