The Study On The Method Of Explanatory Notes In The Shuowenjiezizhu

Shuowenjiezizliu had made enormous achievement in cxplaination of words and received high praise in the academic world.This article has discussed the method of explanatory notes in the Shuowenjiezizliu with emphasis.The text divides into three parts.The first part discusses the method of explaining word in the Shuowenjiezizhu:(1) the method of mutual cxplaination;(2) the method of comparative cross motivation;(3) the method of probed meaning of terms according to the context;(4) the method of probed meaning of terms according to the sound.The second part analyses the method of proving meaning in the shuowenjiezizhu:(1) the method of proving the words and expressions significance through the history document; (2) the method of proving the words and expressions significance through the eyes inspection;(3)the method of proving the words and expressions significance through the dialect and folk adage.Finally,this paper briefly pointes out the deficiency in the method of explaining and proving words in the shuowenjiezizliu.
