Heconsidered that the highest ambit of music is the spirit of the universe, and that theChinese classical music is the symbol of Chinese classical philosophy. He also analyzedthe pursuit and skills of all kinds of arts, hence regarding music as the leader art.Closely connected with artistic reality and with the method of contrast and logicaldemonstration, this thesis analyzed the background origin of Zong Baihua's aesthetics,expounded the unique intension of his musical aesthetics and disclosed its greatacademic value.
