Ego-identity and existential anxiety are two important psychological notions when the belonging and meaning of life are talked about. Ego-identity with normal development encourage us to envisage existential anxiety other than its negative impact. The research is based on 877 samples which include 7 universities and 6 kinds of disciplines, coming from the cities with developed economic along Yangtze River. Researcher has used Ego-identity Scale developed by Huang Xiting,etc al and State-Trait Anxiety Inventory as major measurements. mutiple interviews added to in order to carry on a tentative research. Results are followed.1.Gender itself has not statistical significant impact on almost all profiles we care.2.Family background,including residence(city or country) and only one child in family or not,has impact on ego-identity status and the extent of existential anxiety.3.Social communication has statistical significant impact on psychological status of undergraduates.4.Statistical significant difference about kinds of psychological predictors exists among different ego-identity status.5.Statistical significant difference exists among different subjects.6.Loss of time consistence,energy overdistracted,identity diffusion and ego over concentrated on itself are the major causes to amplify existential anxiety.
