Psychological health problem has become" a common and serious problem for minority college students. As the largest one in hainan minority nationalities, the team of the Li college students are endowed to promote the national development and progress, whose mental health is directly related to the nation’s thriving. Compared with the Han nationality, however, their psychological healthy problem should cause the more attention of college psychological health education worker, due to the learning factor, cultural factor, economic pressure and interpersonal aspects of influence. And Li nationality people’s mental health, rarely got the attention of psychologists. There is little research on Li college students mental health problems, nor cross culture study corresponding, no report of group psychological counseling for Li College students.This research is mainly carried out from two aspects:Study1:From a certern university of hainan province, randomly sample180Li nationality college students and560nationality Han college students collective measured, by the The Symptom CheckList(SCL-90), from the aspects of gender, origin, professional, the only-child, we analyse to explore the differences in Li and Han nationality college students mental health.The purpose is to enrich the practice research of Li nationality college students, meanwhile according to the characteristics of psychological development of Li and Han nationality college students, universities can carry out targeted mental health education and psychological counseling.Study2:We develop group psychological counseling to anxiety symptoms, which is the main difference of Li and Han nationality college students mental health status. From study1, we screen out of anxiety symptoms obviously Li and Han nationality students each30people. Random selection of Li and Han nationality the each15a total of30people were as the experimental group, the other30people as control group. Carrying on8times of group counseling for the experimental group and the control group without intervention.Using the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) and SCL-90were measured before and after analysis.The purpose is to explore group counseling intervention effect on the reduction of Li and Han college students anxiety level and improve the level of mental health and then compare the group counseling is more effective on which groups.This study indicated the following conclusions:(1) Comparison of psychological health status between Li and Han nationality college students’internal. Li and Han nationality girls’ psychological health level is lower than boy. Li nationality rural students have poorer mental health than urban students, otherwise the Han nationality students have no obvious differences between urban and rural. Li and Han nationality students of art subjects live in worse level of mental health than science students. Above all the differences display in different factors.(2) Comparison of psychological health status between Li and Han nationality college students. General speaking, Li nationality students have lower level than the Han nationality students in psychological health, and there are significant differences in somatization, anxiety, phobia, other factors and total score. Li and Han nationality boy’s psychological health level is quite, while Li nationality girls’ psychological health level is lower than the Han nationality girls. Urban Li nationality students’ mental health level is higher than the urban Han nationality students. Rural Li nationality students’ mental health level is lower than rural Han nationality students. Li nationality science and arts students’ mental health is lower than Han nationality students. Non-only child Li nationality students’ psychological health level is lower than the Han nationality students. Above all the differences display in different factors.(3) Group counseling for anxiety intervention is effective in improving college students’psychological health level, and it is the different between Li and Han nationality students in improving symptom factor.The control group of students’ psychological health level has not been improved obviously.(4) Group counseling for anxiety intervention significantly improved Li and Han nationality college students’ state anxiety, and Li nationality students shows significantly beter intervention effect than the Han nationality students.While the control group with state anxiety has not been improved significantly. The intervention group with trait anxiety overall has been improved significantly.
