A Study On The System Of Li In The Qin And Han Dynasties

For whichever dynasty of the history, it is a primary issue to choose a valid way to take control of the people. As to the period of Qin and Han Dynasties, history had seen the ending up of the wars between kingdoms, and a federal united empire characterized by absolution and centralization was built up. Geared to the ages characters of unity and centralization, this empire inherited the reining experience before, and achieved its aims of controlling people and taxes levying by strict programming on the skeleton unit of Li-a kind of administrative organization and residential district, In a sense, the system of Li was a direct embodiment of the imperial ruling opinions and people's living conditions .As far as the previous research is concerned, owning to the limitation of related data and even confined by the traditional standpoint of the privately owned system of the land during Qin and Han Dynasties, there exist many doubts on some problems and even lots of misunderstanding.Based on the imperial distribution system of land and its variation, I take the people-controlled pattern and its change as the subject investigated, laying stress on discussing the existence function internal operation and their changes .By this way, the article gives a systematic investigation on the system of Li. At the same time, I make full use of the current research results and make the most of new bamboo slips, then, the article can not only rectify some misunderstanding and unsatisfactory place to the related problem before, but also give us a perfect understanding of basic realm of Qin and Han Dynasties.
