Mao Gong's "Mao Shi Gu Xun Zhnan" in the Western Han Dynasty, Zheng Xuan's "Mao Shi Jian" in the Eastern Han Dynasty and Zhu Xi's "Shi ji Zhuan" in Song Dynasty are the classic works in the history of the study on "Shi Jing". The above-mentioned works are important literary quotations which get outstanding achievements. Mao Gong's "Mao Shi GuXun Zhuan" and Zheng Xuan's "Mao Shi Jian" have been called the origin of Shi Jing in Han Dynasty; Zhu Xi's "Shiji Zhuan" has been regarded as congregated the essence of Shi Jing in Song Dynasty. The influence of those works to the sinology has been prolonging for several ages. There are much in common in their intention on annotating, approaches to noting when the three writers explained "Shi Jing "and the annotation were closely related to one another. However, due to the different time of those works, there are still some difference from the focus on annotation and the soundness of those works. Therefore, they are pretty comparable.To do the comparative study on those three works, from the aspects of stylistic layout, contents, approach and the technical terms of exegesis, the thesis probes into the evolution and changes of exegesis during 1,000 years(From the Western&Eastern Han Dynasty to the Song Dynasty).From the angle of academic history, by analyzing the similarities and differences, relationship and the headstreams of those three important literary quotations, the thesis indicates that ology of The Han Dynasty and the ology of The Song Dynasty have difference interests. Therefore, the style of annotation are different too. But those three literary quotations were all based on the linguistic exegesis. Furthermore, from Mao Gong's "Mao Shi Gu Xun Zhuan" to Zheng Xuan's "Mao Shi Jian" and Zhu Xi's "Shi ji Zhuan",the stylistic rules,the contents,the approaches and the technical terms of the annotation have been improved and advanced. That's the way of the evolution of exegesis, the traditional exegesis has been developing and evolving gradually and eventually becomes a professional and mature subject.
