The Study Of Adverb In Chun Qiu Guliang Zhuan

As one of the three literatures about Chun Qiu, Gu Liang Zhuan is a literature for explaining the meaning of Chun Qiu, and it has been labeled as one of the thirteen classical literatures of the Confucians. As an independent school and one part of the Confucian sutras and ideology, it has peculiar influence in history; as a book written in Han dynasty, it also has important documentary value. This article chooses Gu Liang Zhuan as the language material, attempting to explore its adverbial system. On the base of carefully proofreading the language material, then making a full survey of it, this article descripts the full aspects.This article is mainly divided into three major parts:Part I:Forword, including three parts. First, the brief introduction of Gu Liang Zhuan. Second, introducing the Chinese adverbial definition.Third, the survey of the adverb of Gu Liang Zhuan. And classification of seven categories: degree adverb, scope adverb, time adverb, manner adverb, negative adverb, mood adverb and connecting adverb in term of the meaning of adverb.Part II: The analysis of Gu Liang Zhuan's adverb. Identifying the 80 adverb according to the classifying standard offered in the part I, classifying the adverb of Gu Liang Zhuan and establishing it's adverb system in the light of classifying method proposed above. This part mainly probes and analyzes using the approach of "the static description combined with the analysis and induction", at the same time, analyzes every adverb of each categories by statistical list from the perspectives regarding its decorating and explaining to predicate.Part III: Conclusion, including two parts. First, the analysis of applying condition of the adverb used in Gu Liang Zhuan. Based on the concrete study of the Part II, we compare and analyze the monosyllable note adverb and the duplicate syllable adverb, then compare and analyze the quantity of each kind of adverb and it's frequency of use, and analyze the adverb's appearance position, the condition of using together. Finally, summarize and induce the characteristic of the adverb system of Gu Liang Zhuan. The research means that "the static description combined with the analysis and induction" and "the statistics and tabulates" is applied again in this part. Second, the comparison between the adverb of Gu Liang Zhuan syllable. Carrying through the method "the contemporary analysis and the diachronic comparison", the article analyzes the adverb of Gu Liang Zhuan and Syllable adverb, from the aspects of quantity, the instance of acceptation, the development and the grammar characteristic and so on, to find the general venation from the time that engrave words on Syllable to the early Han dynasty. With times going by, the form of adverb occurred a great change, and a large number of new adverb appeared. The tendency is obviously toward to duplicating syllable while the grammar characteristic is steady correspondingly.
