A Study On ShengXun In Mao Shi Zhuan Jian Tong Shi

The thesis makes a study of ShengXun(声训) systematically in Ma Ruichen's (马瑞辰) Mao Shi Zhuan Jian Tong Shi (《毛诗传箋通释》) in terms of eseqesistics (训诂学) and phonology (音韻学).The thesis discusses on five chapters: The first chapter sorts out the author, edition and the current study situation on Mao Shi Zhuan Jian Tong Shi and points out the study direction about the paper. The second chapter defines ShengXun. The third chapter proves the relations between the words explained (被训释字) and the words in ShengXun (训释字) from eight respects, which discusses about their syllable on the ShengXun rules in Mao Shi Zhuan Jian Tong Shi. Firstly, we summarize syllable relactions of ShengXun. Secondly, we divide different parts to discuss according to different terms in ShengXun, and explain ShengXun of no term symbol as anather part. Finally, we list out the proportion of different syllable relactions in ShengXun. According to the proportion, we can make out that the proportion of the same initial consonant(声纽) and the same final of a syllable (韻部) is highest, and we can see that the author explained about ShengXun that based on the ancient syllable (上古音). The forth chapter analyses and classifies on the ShengXun rules from ancient syllable, which begins with the composition of the words. According to bringing to light the patterns of ShengXun, we can see that the rules are related with the syllable whether the words are related with the composition or not. The fifth chapter confirms the position of Mao Shi Zhuan Jian Tong Shi on linguistics and points out the study direction in future.
