Han Dynasty is the first golden age of China's Hermeneutics. Maozhuan, which was finished in Western Han Dynasty, is the oldest and most intact professional Hermeneutics book extant in China; it is a milestone in the history of Hermeneutics. Zhengxuan is an authority in the study of Book of Odes in Han Dynasty, the principle and methodology in his study was followed by many of his successors, Zhengjian is the most influential book in zheng's Hermeneutics books.Currently, many researches have been done which are focusing on Maozhuan or Zhengjian separately, while only few studies have given a comparison research between them. In this article, the author conducted a comparison research between Maozhuan and Zhengjian, and gave a summary on Zhengjian's succession and development to Maozhuan at the area of Hermeneutics glossary, methodology, analysis of grammar, analysis of rhetoric. And gave a more clear knowledge on the development of classical Hermeneutics during the period from Western Han Dynasty to Eastern Han Dynasty.
