Comparison Between The Exegesis Of Maozhuan And Zhengjian

Han Dynasty was an important period in which the Chinese Exegetics had made great development and progress. In this dynasty, many monographs whose learning practice just for special books appeared. These monographs are the clear reappearance of the ancient scholar exegetical practice, between which Maozhuan and Zhengjian are the typical work. In this thesis, the author conducted a comparison research between them and gave a more clear knowledge on the development of classical Hermenelltics during the period from Western Han Dynasty to Eastern Han Dynasty. The whole thesis consists of six parts: The first part, we introduce the versions and the research degree of Maozhuan and Zhengjian. The second part, we brief the two books and their authors. From the third part to the sixth part, we using statistics and enumeration, description and analysis to compare the methodology, the terminology, the format, the content and the style of commentary on ancient text between Maozhuan and Zhengjian.
