This paper briefly generalizes the rising of the Chinese Industrial Co-operative Movement(the ICM)during the Anti-Japanese War with the references which can be collected at present, and analyzes the reasons that caused the Gung Ho Education, also reviews the practicing status of Gung Ho Education. The writer especially discusses the Belly School, what's more, construes the essential and the historical functions of the Gung Ho Education.Chapter1: The writer briefly dissertates the rising of the ICM, and it is a movement of self-saving of economy during the Anti-Japanese War. The Gung Ho Education started as with the ICM as quite an important job. What is Gung Ho Education? The writer gives it a detailed explanation according to the meaning of the education and the researchers 'comment on Gung Ho Education before, and gives a brief introduction about the guiding institution. There are profound reasons about implementing Gung Ho Education. Not enough industrial co-operative theory and the shortage of practice are the basic reason. The antinomy between the shortage of persons with ability and the instant demands for the persons with ability is the direct reason. There are lots of problems during the course of the practicing of the ICM and crises that lay dormant, and it is an important reason. The not in-phase between mass education and mass mobilization is another important reason.Chapter 2: According to the receiving education object, the Gung Ho Education can be divided into four kinds, and they are Gung Ho Education of propagandizing, Gung Ho Education of member, Gung Ho Education of cadre and Gung Ho Education of welfare. The writer dissertates them from different aspects.Chapter 3: Originating Gung Ho school is one part of the ICM. The Chinese Industrial Co-operative Committee decided to originate Belly School, and it constituted the planning booklet. The ICM originated several Belly Schools. This paper dissertates the three maim Belly School, that is the Shuangshipu Belly School, the Lanzhou Belly School(as a middleschool) and the Shandam Belly School , and particularly seeing about Shandan Belly School.Chapter 4: The writer analyzes the essential of the Gung Ho Education, which is an integrated education containing vocational education, wartime education, producing education, life education and the mass education. The writer also discusses the functions of the Gung Ho Education: Firstly, Gung Ho Education fostered many persons with developing economy ability, and they played an important role at that time and they also exerted important action in the future after the war. Secondly, the Gung Ho Education hastened the spreading of the co-operative knowledge and the democratic spirit. Thirdly, the Gung Ho Education also strengthened the mass education and pushed the country subject education. Fourthly, Gung Ho Education , in some extent, enhanced the status of women in the place. Lastly, Gung Ho Education heightened the country education level at the time .Summing up the experience and indoctrinate of Gung Ho Education , which can be used for settling the problem of person with ability in enterprises of villages and town today, for modern vocational education and for industrial co-operative nowadays.
