This paper firstly made a discussion on the choice of the names and their differences of degree complement and state complement, holding the idea that there are some similarities in terms of forms between them, while they are opposite to each other in meaning. Degree complement simply indicates the meaning of "degree", while state complement holds much more semantic information. In the following parts, we analyzed the differences in syntactic aspect, semantic aspect and pragmatic aspect between degree complement and state complement according to the theory of three levels. Structures with degree complement can be classified into comparative form and non-comparative form. Due to the limited number of degree complements, we tried to make profound analysis of the usage and characters of each degree complement; structures with state complement are much more complicated, so we sought out "Double-verb å¾—"as the special and typical example, and also made profound analysis of it in syntactic, semantic and pragmatic aspects. Lastly, we analyzed the errors students made in both the two types complements and then put forward relative teaching strategies, that is, to make the teaching system clear enough, to make certain the teaching content, to arrange a reasonable teaching turn, to distract the difficult points and to make full use of the context.
