In this paper, we discuss two aspects of appulsive complement from the point of teaching Chinese as a foreign language----grammar theory and error analysis. First, we indicate the particularity of the grammar. At the same time, we conform to the request of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, detailedly describe appulsive complement by means of the combination of form and meaning, analyze the composing----simple appulsive complement and compound appulsive complement; analyze the grammar meanings which including semantic direction, stand, the beginning and terminus of displacement, and extensional usage, etc. Then we explain the 24 appulsive complements respectively, providing the reasonable explanation and cognitive approach from the view of cognitive psychology. Based on it, we analyze the errors which the foreigners made at the time of studying and using, reduce to three types: verb errors, appulsive complement errors and the ubiety errors between appulsive complement and object. We analyze the three likelihoods of the position weightily----anterior object, hind object and middle object, find out the cause of these errors, restrict and explain the using conditions of appulsive complement. At last, we apply these researches to our teaching practice, bring forward some teaching countermeasures and methods concretely and suitably.
