Vietnamese Fan ShiHuai And Chinese Wang AnYi Feminine Novels Comparative Study

Fan ShiHuai and Wang AnYi are two famous writers of the Vietnam-ChinaNew Era feminine literature. Although they belong to differentcountries' literature, their works both with deep communication andculture, excavate real life. But when we observe the two country'sgeography, history, culture and feminine literature developing trends,it is clear that has a few similar factors. First of all, Vietnam and Chinaare two border-sharing countries, belonging to the Asian Confucianculture area. So the two countries deep national culture have a certaincommunication. Second, the two countries have a long interrelatedrelationship during the historical developing process. They also had thesame changeable history during the Twentieth Century, in foreign threatencountry's sovereignty staunch and unyielding protected national Freedomand Independent. At the same time the two countries were influenced byanother culture. And when the New Era came, Vietnam and China have bothapplied reform and opening policy, blending in international trends toimplement industrialization and modernization. To sum up, because Fan andWang's works are both from similar native cultural sectors in theirresearch and discovery of the life of people, in which reflects the deepinterests and demands of female feelings. So it is clear that Wang andFan's novels express some interrelated communication, which pays seriousattention to the restoration of real life, and the instinctive lust inthe existing forms of life, particularly the female situation in atraditionally male-centric culture, social factors, and historicalinertia. Moreover, the modern society has made more chances for women totake part in the creation of art. Therefore, with a culturally sightedview, I would like to make a comparative study between Wang and Fan'snovels, finding out the deep communication between Vietnam and Chinafeminine literature, including the ideology and beauty trends of the NewEra feminine literature, the relationship between the watchword of thetime and human nature. All of these have deep significance in furtheringthe comprehension of region culture. The cultural value systems of FanShiHuai and Wang AnYi's works offer us a new sight view and spiritualvalues. The whole thesis can be divided into three chapters:The first chapter: The cultural-socio development of the TwentiethCentury Vietnam-China Feminine literature. And Wang AnYi and FanShiHuai's novels conclusions.During the development of the Vietnam-China literature history, thereappeared very famous female writers. For examples, Chinese Li QingZhaoand Vietnamese Hu ChunXiang;however, feminine literature seems to beunclearly situated in the whole literature history, belonging in an absentsituation. Entering the 20th century, individual consciousness appeared,and the changeable socio-history had made the feudal society and itsideology change quickly. In the new historical circumstances femalesituation was identified, and there was more and more women taking partin society activities. Many of them chose literature creation. Althoughin a certain period, just as spring water deep running, then in the lastperiod of the 20th century, standing, side by side, another literaturetrend added beautiful scenery for Vietnam-China literature. Among of themWang AnYi and Fan ShiHuai have unique characters that are interesting toreaders and researchers.Wang AnYi and Fan ShiHuai came into literature in the 1980. Wang AnYiis a powerful writer, she created a sum of works that have differentcharacters for each period. She is good at turning the problem over andover in her mind and overcoming herself, finding out that national cultureeffects the full of deep nature of the beauty and spirit value across thecountry. In Chinese literature she selects a unique style but has achievedgreat success. Coming back from Germany, Fan ShiHuai had been known forthe first novel named " TianShi" in 1988. Her later works also gotauthors and readers to pay much attention. Fan ShiHuai takes a broad viewto grasp life, finding out the wave motion of cultural life, thecontradiction of the individual ideology and the problems of nativeculture in the new era. The writer's modern consciousness makes thecontents and forms of her works an audacious innovation. Therefore herworks are titled " Fan ShiHuai "The second chapter: the different and similar of cultural connotationin Wang AnYi and Fan ShiHuai Feminine novels.Wang AnYi and Fan ShiHuai's works are very rich in content. Thesurface layer of their works are about daily life, but deeply contain humanlife with its value systems. They pay much attention to daily life,describing individual feelings and their ideologies, so that summarizingsome true nature: the beauty trends of women, the national feeling power,the trouble of individual in the new era, the richness of native culture,feminine consciousness with a cultural sight view, that is, the discoveryof original nature of the female, and the positive worried consciousnessof the development of modern life. All of these are similar in Wang andFan novels. The differences, include, Wang AnYi is preference for takingnative culture effects to build a spirit world. But, Fan ShiHuai calmlyand intellectually turns to the suffering of the native culture which canbe more and more recognized. For themthe writers sectors are very important in making new works. They combineindividual talent, strong feelings and the spirit of reason together,using these in story, structure, and tongue. Wang AnYi works belong totraditional rhyme, but Fan ShiHuai breaks out of traditional forms,building the modern patterns, which make her works have a very specialstyle.In Vietnam or China scholars have paid much attention to the writerherself or make comparative study with another writer. Now I desire tomake comparative study between the feminine literature of two countries.The purpose of this study is to find deep communication of Vietnam-ChinaThe New Era Feminine literature, creating the new view of them. So thatit create more understanding about the cultural relations of the twocountries.
