The brain is the headquarters of the human body. All people's activities are arranged by the brain. The level of activity quality basically depends on the level of various functions of the brain, especially the level of thinking. Thus, the research of the thinking mechanism and the law of the brain will promote people's intellectual development and affect new scientific technical revolution greatly. It is generally acknowledged that different modes of thinking cause different behavioral results, while different behavioral manners determine different activity results. In this sense, the scientific degree of the modes of thinking reflects people's degree of modernization. Therefore, in piano teaching, it will broaden out outlook, widen our research field and make us obtain new thinking and achievements to draw lessons from the existing scientific achievements on thinking.With the methods of analyzing literature, summarizing experiences, analyzing cases, and making investigation, this article expounds the argumentation through the detail analysis of the four parts.To study the application of thinking in piano teaching, focus should be on the question that what human thinking is on earth. This article tries to explain the importance of thinking and the actual value of the study of thinking from four parts: the concept, the characteristics, the classification, and the structure of thinking. The application of thinking cannot be separated from learning knowledge, solving problems, telling truth from falsehood, discerning beauty and ugliness, exploring new knowledge, or creating a better future.The thinking modes used in the activity of piano learning, which are different from any other thinking activity of discipline learning, have special characteristics. In the piano learning, four kinds of thinking modes are mainly used: movement thinking, image thinking, abstract thinking, and creative thinking. The four kinds of thinking modes interact and permeate each other and can also be transformed into each other to some extent. Therefore, in the process of piano learning and performance, it is usually the mutual result of several thinking modes rather than the application of a single thinking mode.Because of the importance and universality of applying thinking into the piano learning, teachers should have the intention to train students'application of thinking...
