On the basis of studying the jade articles and stone carves of the Confucius Palace and Confucius Temple in Qufu, Shandong province, and consulting lots of existing literature and historical data, the paper put forward the viewpoint that there is special culture connotation in Chinese jade articles and stone carves. The style and design that Chinese jade articles and stone carves have are effected by Chinese Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism culture during the developing history. Through studying that of Confucius Palace and Confucius Temple, the paper draws the conclusion as below:1. Confucianism occupies a position of mine force in the political thought of feudalism society of China. Rulers of every dynasty keep raising the social status of the Confucius Palace and Confucius Temple, so a large mount of jade articles and stone carves are saved there, which reflect the though trend development of Chinese history.2. Confucianism put importance on the feudal ethical code and etiquette, in order to maintain the rule. Jade articles are a kind of important form to reflect it, which stipulates the style, design of jade articles. And the same connotations are reflected in some stone sculptures.3.There are three main political thought trend in Chinese history from Qin to Qing dynasty, they are Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. They kept struggling and fusing during the process of developing. Which is reflected in the style and design of some jade articles and stone carves in Confucius Palace and Confucius Temple.4.China have long history of dragon culture. Jade articles in dragon shape expressed wish of warm clothing and enough food in original. Then Confucianism bestowed it moral of character, it turned to the symbol of authority and power, analogies emperor. Shape and design of Jade dragon keeping developing during the history, which are effected by the thought culture of that time. Stone jade carving is the same. There are stone inscriptions with dragon carving of different dynasties in Confucius Palace and Confucius Temple, which can express this character.5. the jade articles and stone carves of the Confucius Palace and Confucius Temple in Qufu, Shandong province is a kind of typical of Chinese jade and stone culture development. It has a profound history and social culture background, jade articles and stone carves of every era contain the thought character of that time.
