Chonghou's Negotiation Thoughts And His Practice

This paper has investigated Chonghou's negotiation thoughts and practice on the basis of forefathers'research results, has probed into the reason of Chonghou' s success or failure in the negotiation, in the hope of contributing to inquirying into the Chinese diplomacy moderation from the angle of view of a diplomat .This text is divided into six parts totally:Part one is the preface, which just introduces the meaning of author' s choosing the title and previous research achievement,auther's new ideas as well.Part two elaborates Chonghou' s diplomacy thought from three phases. The first phase is Chonghou' s thought of observing treaty. The second phase is an assertion that supports the rights. The third is negotiation tactics.Part three investigates that Chonghou deal with the problem of religion. Through analysis the cause of religion problem, it discusses the policy and the measure of the religion problem that Chonghou carryed out.Through comparison of Zengguofan, it analyses Chonghou's policy.Part four investigates that Chonghou sign agreement and hand over the negotiation problem of accept the Yili. It can be seen from the following two phases:One is to discusse the Chonghou' s diplomacy negotiation strategy and its affect about agreement with small country .Two is to analye Chonghou's reason of failure about negotiate in handing over acceptingYili . Though comparison with Zengjize , it explaining the place of the predicament of the Chinese modern age diplomacy. Part five investigates Chonghou' s thoughts and doing about customs and economic problem between Chinese and Foreign. It mainly divides into three parts to carry on the treatise, one is about Chonghou and three customs of north ocean in China . It mainly analyes Chonghou' reform measures of three customses of north oceans and explains he deal with the problem of smuggler. Two is about Chonghou and trade between Chinese and Foreign , from which analyes Chonghou' s gain and loss . Three is about economic problem that occur in traffic of boat between Chinese and Foreign .Part six is the conclusion part. It evaluates advances and limits of Chonghou' s thoughts and doing in Tongzhi and Guangxu period . At last, the author puts forward some viewpoints to analyse the reason of his success or failure.
