On The Relationship Between Mental Health And Coping Styles Or Social Support Among The Objects Who Got Labor Education And Rehabilitation

This research explores the coping styles of the Objects Who Got Labor Education and Rehabilitation (OGLER) and develops an Objects Who Got Labor Education and Rehabilitation Coping Style Questionnaire (OGLERCSQ) , which reviews stressors of OGLER as well as evaluates the coping styles they have adopted. In addition, relationships of coping style, social support and mental health are also studied.Methods including interview and questionnaire are adopted to conduct the research on the three questions mentioned above among OGLER. There are three steps: 1) items of stressors and coping styles are collected via interviews with the OGLER. Then the items were categorized according to theoretical hypothesis based on related literature, and the Scale of Conditional Coping Style is formed. 2) After the exploratory factor analysis to the collected valid questionnaires, a four -component construct of conditional coping style is formed. The four dimensions are: social positive coping style, social negative coping style, family positive coping style and family negative coping style. Meanwhile, reliability and validity of questionnaire are analyzed, leading to the formal Condition Coping Style Questionnaire with 16 items. 3) The formal Conditional Coping Style Questionnaire is executed. Confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis and validity analysis are conducted for the formal Conditional Coping Style Questionnaire. The results showed that reliability and validity of the questionnaire are satisfied. The questionnaire is suitable for the study of OGLER.On the basis of the scale, the influence of each dimension of coping styles and social support to the mental healthy is further analyzed, which discovers that after removal of demography variables and other influencing variables, the social negative coping style and family positive coping style can significant predict the situation of mental health. Coping styles can effect to mental health directly. This research also separately inspects the effects of demography variables as well as other variables to coping styles, social support and the mental healthy. The result discovers that durative time of taking drugs and education levels have the prominent influence to coping styles. Durative time of taking drugs has the influence to family support;and gender is influential to mental health. All of the analytic results can provide reference to the working of rehabilitationthrough labor reform.
