Since the drug laws enacted, the drug control work continuously moves towardslegalization and standardization with the deep development of compulsory isolationrehabilitation. The issue of compulsory isolation rehabilitation is becoming more andmore attention by people. How to carry out the psychological rehabilitation hasbecome the important responsibility and mission for the work of compulsory isolationrehabilitation. The study of psychological states of compulsory isolation rehabilitationaddicts will support beneficial reference for the isolation rehabilitation work. This isthe inevitable requirement promoting the drug control work towards the specificationorbit.This study aims to investigate the characteristic of mental health state, socialsupport and coping style of male compulsory isolation drug addicts in detoxificationcenter; the difference of the coping style and social support for them who havedifferent mental health state; and the relationship between mental health and copingstyle, social support of forced isolation rehabilitation addicts.The study used SLC-90, social support revalued scale (SSRS), and coping stylequestionnaire (CSQ) as research instruments conducting the survey. And400maleaddicts in one rehabilitation center (Lanzhou) served as participants.The results showed that:(1)The total points and nine factors score of SCL-90for male compulsoryisolation drug addicts are higher than the common people, and this can be illustratedthat the mental health level of male addicts below the normal level. The mental healthpositive symptoms (s≥2) evaluation factors from high to low were somatization,forcing symptoms, depression and hostility.(2)Demographic variables of marital status, family income, family sources aswell as a significant number of drug effects on mental health, but ethnicity,age,education level has no impact on mental health.(3)The mental health of male compulsory isolation rehabilitation addicts andtheir social support and coping style existed remarkable correlation. Better mentalhealth of men forced isolation treatment staff to take more mature coping, coping immature bodes worse mental health. Less social support personnel forced isolationtreatment worse mental health.Through the study found that poor social support conditions and immaturecoping styles are two important influencing factors which lead to the poor mentalhealth status of male compulsory isolation rehabilitation addicts. In addition,demographic variables such as marital status, family′s income, the source of family, aswell as the number of drug treatment are also have effect on the mental health statusof male compulsory isolation rehabilitation addicts. Therefore, when conductingmanagement education and psychological counseling on male compulsory isolationrehabilitation addicts, it must be aim at these factors which should be targeted in orderto achieve a better drug treatment.
