Research About The Impact Of Changchun High School Students' Life Events, Coping Style And Social Support On Mental Health

I chose Changchun high school students as samples, through the study, I investigated the present situation and population difference of Changchun high school students' mental health, life events, coping style and social support, I tried to explore the impact of life events, coping style and social support on mental health, I hoped to provide a theoretical basis and guidance to safeguard and promote mental health of Changchun high school students. Adolescent Life Events Scale, Simple Coping Style Scale, Social Support Scale and SCL-90 were used to assess life events, coping style, social support and mental health for 224 Changchun high school students. The results indicated:(1) Overall, Changchun high school students'mental health is significantly better than the national norm. There is no significant difference of"depression"between Changchun high shool students and the national norm, in other factors, Changchun high shool students'scores are significantly lower than the national norm'. The detection rate of Changchun high school students'positive psychological problems is 54.02%, the detection rate of moderate and above psychological problems is 16.52%. Psychological problems of Changchun high school students focus on"Obsessive-Compulsive","hostility","depression","anxiety","interpersonal sensitivity"and so on. There is significant difference of"Phobic anxiety"of Changchun high shool students in different genders, the female students'score is significantly higher than male students', there are no significant differences of other factors of Changchun high shool students in different genders. There are no significant differences of all factors of SCL-90 of Changchun high shool students in different grades.(2) The impact of negative life events on Changchun high school students is at a mild level, and primary negative life events to Changchun high school students is"the press of study"and"human relationship". There is significant difference of"the total amount of life events"of Changchun high shool students in different genders, the male students'score is significantly higher than female students'. There are significant differences of"human relationships","chastisement"and"the rest"of Changchun high shool students in different genders, the male students'scores are significantly higher than female students', there are no significant differences of other factors of Changchun high shool students in different genders. There is significant difference of"the press of study"of Changchun high shool students in different grades, the grade 3 students'score is significantly higher than grade 1, there are no significant differences of other factors of Changchun high shool students in different grades.(3) There is no significant difference of"positive response"between Changchun high shool students and the national norm. There is significant difference of"negative response"between Changchun high shool students and the national norm, Changchun high shool students'score is significantly lower than the national norm'. There are no significant differences of"positive response","negative response"of Changchun high shool students in different genders. There is no significant difference of"positive response"of Changchun high shool students in different grades. There is significant difference of"negative response"of Changchun high shool students in different grades, the grade 3 students'score is significant higher than grade 1 and grade 2 students'.(4) There are no significant differences of"social support","objective support"and"subjective support"of Changchun high shool students in different genders. There is significant difference of"utilization of support"of Changchun high shool students in different genders, the male students'score is significant lower than female students'. There are no significant differences of"social support","objective support"and"subjective support"of Changchun high shool students in different grades. There is significant difference of"utilization of support"of Changchun high shool students in different grades, the grade 1 students'score is significant higher than grade 2 students'.(5) There are significant positive correlations between life events, negative response and mental health (SCL-90 score). There are significant negative correlation between positive response, social support and mental health (SCL-90 score). There is significant positive correlation between life events and negative response. There is significant negative correlation between life events and social support. There is significant positive correlation between positive response and social support.(6) Life events, coping styles, social support can explain 46.2% variety of the mental health (SCL-90 score). Life events, negative response and social support can predict mental health (SCL-90 score) significantly.
