A Study Of Wanzhou Dialect Vocabulary

Wanzhou dialect is the Wanzhou language of Chengdu-Chongqing regional dialect of Southeast mandarin that belongs to the North Chinese dialects.This essay makes a research on the characteristics of Wanzhou dialect vocabulary through "the comparison between Wanzhou dialect vocabulary and the standard Chinese vocabulary"; "the analysis of word formation of Wanzhou dialect"; "the illustration of the ancient Wanzhou dialect vocabulary"and "the illustration of Wanzhou dialect vocabulary." Of course, the research mentioned above cannot reveal the language features of an area completely because the dialect is a huge complicated system, which is a mirror that reflects the history and culture of that area. Therefore, this essay also involves "Wanzhou dialect vocabulary and folk culture" as well as "the investigation on the history of Wanzhou dialect vocabulary". It tries to reveal the features of Wanzhou dialect vocabulary through the study of the relationship between vocabulary and social life as well as the investigation of the origin of Wanzhou dialect.
