In the 21st century human being enters into an era of information and knowledge economy. With the rapid development of sci-tech and improvement of information level, information has been an important social source.. The man who has information is able to succeed;the man who first obtains information gains the initiative right of existence and development. Sci-tech can be tracked down from the sci-tech activities of human kind as a key part of social information. In order to transfer sci-tech to productive power in the social activities which will realizes the maximum value of sci-tech, we need to communicate and transfer it. While as oneessential part of sci-tech transference-sci-tech writing will no doubtbe put more attention. Sci-tech writing is a basic and necessary skill of sci-tech staff and managers which involves specialized knowledge, literature quality, social knowledge, personal cultivation and so on. Their level is a most important standard to measure their general qualities. Being a future sci-tech worker, to master sci-tech writing knowledge and have a certain level of sci-tech writing is very necessary. While in the current situation with the development of our higher education, recently higher vocational education shows the purpose of purchasing profits comparing with their basic tasks of cultivating higher practical and technical talents. Higher vocational education gradually goes far from the aim of literature instead of the vocational training of abilities. The main aspects of the aim is the lack of literature courses which will directly cut down the sci-tech qualities of higher vocational students. Early in 1985, the former Education Ministry had writtensci-tech writing into the system of standards of higher vocational colleges. But in fact sci-tech writing does not gain much attention. Firstly many higher vocational colleges have no sci-tech writing courses which surely can not improve students' sci-tech writing abilities;Secondly the materials of sci-tech writing are old-fashioned;lastly we lack of a specialized teachers with excellent qualities which will no doubt influence students' learning interests directly. Therefore, changing the mind of higher vocational education and put emphasis on the training of related teachers and publishing related teaching materials are the key importance of the reform of sci-tech writing course in higher vocational colleges.
