The Research Of Educational System Of Tang And Five Dynasties Periods And Early Song Dynasty

There are plenty of educational materials on Tang and Five-Dynasties Periods and early Song Dynasty in Dunhuang literature. Not only the educational situation and level of the time are represented in these materials, but as a part of the entire education system at that time, they provide the study of education with the contributive information, and have significant academic contribution in the research of educational system of Tang and Five Dynasties Periods and early Song Dynasty.The dissertation consists of four parts:Part I The education of Dunhuang in pre-Tang Dynasty is reviewed, mainly in the periods of Wei, Jin, South and North dynasties of China, and especially the development of education of Dunhuang in Wuliang period is emphasized.Part II, Besides the descriptions of the education of Dunhuang in Tang and Five-Dynasties periods and early Song Dynasty in different stages, the general development of education of Dunhuang is introduced as well.Part III The education system of Tang Dynasty is generalized. Compiled from present Dunhuang literature, the materials on officialism and privacy studies are analyzed afterwards. In addition, as a part of Dunhuang education, Temple research holds the balance of the Dunhuang education and is emphasized in details.Part IV By the comparison of compulsory materials in Feudalistic Dynasties of the time, the teaching materials in Dunhuang literature are classified; meanwhile the education concepts and teaching methods reflected from them are discussed.On the basis of above discussion, we could derive and end up with that there are echoes in education status between Dunhuang in Tang and Five-Dynasties Periods and the entire Feudalistic Dynasties of the time, moreover, the characteristics of local education are obvious. The most important is that, through the study of the Dunhuang literature and probed into the Dunhuang, even Tang, Five-Dynasties periods and early Song Dynasty, reinforce the deficiency which, official history records were more particular than Central School, but briefer than the Local School.
