Dissertate The Laoniupo Site Of Shang Dynasty Culture

The site of Laoniupo is located on the north bank of Ba River in the east-suburb of Xi'an. It belongs to the HongQing Township, Baqiao District. There have been so many culture relics founded on this area constantly since 1972; thus, it is considered as a site which has rich ancient cultural relics of Shang Dynasty. The History Department Archaeological direction ofNorth-East University has excavated there since 1985, and discovered a lot of remains and relics such as large rammed building foundations, remains of copper workshops, pottery kilns, ash-pits, tombs, and chariot pits; among the excavated artifacts are pottery and wares of bronze, stone, jade, bone, horn, shell, and bones for divining. For the remains of Shang Dynasty culture in the site have been kept for a long period from early to late and plenty of gain had been made, such unearthed materials have provided for cultures studies on the Shang Dynasty of the central Shaanxi Plain. Furthermore; the site of Laoniupo has been much concentrated by lots of scholars and proceeded many probing researches which also resulted in many achievements for on one hand, it has been such distinctive with the revealed cultural diversities since early to late Shang Dynasty; on the other hand, it is located in between Central Shaanxi Province and Chung-yuan area where is the marginal east. This essay attempts to treat and discuss specifically about the culture of Shang Dynasty of Laoniupo on the basis of the visible researches. This thesis includes the chapters as followed.
