Socialization became an important subject of study in the fields of developmental psychology and social psychology in the 30s of the 20th century. The important characteristic that distinguish man from animal is that man forms specific behaviors, skills and modes in the process of socialization.Socialization determines man's characteristic development. Man's socialization is a complex and lifelong process, including socialization of many aspects such as sex, morality and politics. The result of socialization is the formation of personality and self-consciousness.Based on the emotional characteristic of disposition and the development of personality, the previous studies of emotion propose that children's energy levels of emotional activities reflect the more fundamental personality and that age does not affect personality. The results of study of the function of parents'attending on children show that parents'positive emotion influences children's development of positive emotion, and negative emotion influences affinity and stability. Emphasizing the influences of genetic factors, these studies explain that man's congenital energy levels relate to personality.There also researchers, who consider social adaptation ability of emotion as emotional intelligence and a kind of comprehensive social intelligence, discuss the development of personality.
