We are in a mass media era, we receive information and will be affected through a variety of media equipment. Cartoon, as parts of the social media, which have a great influence on society. Socialization is a lifelong career, it means the tendency of individual towards the group and the community. To understand and indentity the criterion, the institution, the culture of this society. Make yourself to participate in the social life and gradually become a social members. Children’s socialization is the primary stage of the whole process, it is particularly important because in this stage the effect will last on the whole life. Now, the contemporary society is not stable, the social media is diversified and become more and more convenient to children, the children actively or passively stay at house. Based on those rensons, children become the main audience of animation and the cartoon become the main spiritual food for children. This paper pays attention on a case study that through long-term following to observe and present child’s social life, to elaborate the interaction between child, cartoons and children’s socialization, which focus on the cartoons in the influence mechanism and function.This study using the qualitative research as the method guide, using case study method for the specific operation, it takes the author four months to follow-up the child. During the four months the author apply varity research methods, such as directly observing, recording the field notes, investigating the child and some relevant person and other specific research methods as well as material collection. This study is based on the analysis of materials of cartoon for children’s social influence and is combined with related theory.This study consists of the following parts.The first part is the introduction that mainly describes the origin of research, research questions, research purpose and significance, literature review, the core concept definition and research methods. This part puts forward research ideas and the framework, and combs related concepts.In the second part, by describing the child’s activities in family, school and social, forming a life picture that presents cartoon and children in the relationship between the three fields.The third part, analyzing the cartoon’s influence on the child’s socialization, through carries on the analysis to the case in the third period contact part of the animated cartoon content and find which contains the social meaning. It was found that cartoon’s inflence mainly focus on the child’s consciousness construction, code development, the angular chacter’s determination, and the consumption intention.The fourth part, analyzing the relationship between cartoon and various social media, through analyzing the rore of animation in the mass media, family, school, peer groups that can explore the another influence model of animation, which is cartoon as a medium of all social media to influence the socialization of children.The fifth part, the time of the child that begin to watch cartoons as a comparative time point, froming the social skills, self concept, will quality, moral quality, social cognition, social adaptation, and social emotional seven dimensions to explore the child’s social development, presenting cartoon have a great impact on the child.The sixth part is the summary part. This study thinks when children begin to watch the animation, it will be affected by the cartoon itself and derivatives. This effect is promoting the socialization of children. When it reached a certain degree, other social media puts extra influence through the cartoons on children’s socialization. That is a delicate relationship between the children, cartoon and social media.
