For the greatest discovery in the history of Inscriptions on Bones or Tortoise Shells in recent years ,we have been pay close attention to the book inscriptions on Bones or Tortoise Shells Unearthed in the Eastern Farmland of Huayuanzhuang YinXu ever since it was published. From the end of the year 2002 to this year, there're tens pieces of articles about Huadong .But most of these articles investigates and explains some certain issues and there's no systematic study. This text makes exhausting analysis to the material firstly and then makes an overall study to the characters in Huadong.This thesis totally has four chapters. In Chapter one,the author authenticates the classification and the quantity of the characters in huadong according to the denotation and makes statistics of the character's quantity over again through the arrangement to characters. In Chapter two the author analysis the word meaning of characters in huadong. It firstly divides the characters into single meaning word and polyseme according to their word meaning and list the polysemes in huadong. at the end of this chapter, the author makes an inspection to the characters' original meaning and denotation and also makes a comparision with another materials of Bones or Tortoise Shells.
