Object: This study aimed to explore whether cognitive behavioral group therapy is an effective treatment for social anxiety of college students.Methord:The reliability and validity of lnteraction Anxiousness Scale and it's applicability in Chinese college students is evaluated . College Students with high scores on social anxiety were divided into CBGT group and controlled group. The efficacies were assessed with lnteraction Anxiousness Scale ,SCL-90,UCLA Loneliness Scale and the Automatic Thoughts Questionaire.Results: lnteraction Anxiousness Scale has sound psychometric Properties for Chinese college students.CBGT group showed notable impacts on decreasing the level of social anxiety,loneliness,the self-reported disease and inproving the automatic thoughts.
