Yoshida Shigeru is a famous Japanese politician as well as a diplomat,acted as the head of pocitical party for many times and achieved Cabinetmaking for five times at the early of postwar.He is considered as a founder and pioneer to the postwar Japanese recovery and development.His thinking,policies and reforms during his serving periods nowadays are still undergoing significant impact on Japan.Therefore,there is often a phenomenon of"Yoshida's worship"in Japan.This paper selects the important period form the late of the WWâ…¡to the time of Yoshida's government's collapse,through presenting Yoshida's mainly activities and policies to maintain peace as Prime Minister and Foreign secretary,evaluated his constribution to the ending of war and Japanese reconstruction,particularly showing his performance in many areas,such as the economic recovery ,maintaining independence,resolving domestic problems and returning to international society.Post-WWâ…¡,Japan was occupied by allied forces for a long time,which holded the direction of Japanese development.
