The Suanshushu is the earliest mathematics monograph in China up till the present moment, which was excavated from NO.247 ancient tomb of Han Dynasty at Zhangjiashan, Jiangling of Hubei Province in 1984. It has substantial content, including integer operation together with fraction, algebra operation, and geometry operation of elementary mathematics. The Suanshushu not only represents developmental standard of Chinese mathematics in 2nd century BC, but also reappears the original features of mathematics monographs at that time. As a mathematics monograph prior to the Nine Chapters on Mathematical Procedures, the Suanshushu is of great value to study Chinese ancient history of mathematics. Besides the Suanshushu is more authentic than a document handed down from ancient times, it offers us a favorable opportunity to understand the situation of language use and social development. Especially, the author makes a study of comparing some representative arithmetic problems with the counterparts of the Nine Chapters on Mathematical Procedures, and finally put forward some opinions on the points in contemporary researchers' achievements that are open to question.Secondly in the chapter of research, the thesis will elaborate on the special topics what the author has learned from the process of interpreting the Suanshushu, that is, research into mathematics terms and some problems when regarding it as a transcript so as to explain its value of historical data on mathematics and sociology.
