The Comparison Of English And Chinese Sentences Order

This dissertation mainly scoops out two problems :the one is the commonness and the individuality of English and Chinese sentences order. The other is to find if the sameness and differences in English and Chinese sentences order are caused by cognitional difference.By analyzing a large amount of materials, we find English sentences orderand that of Chinese have much in common-keep to time order,space order or logic order. And if they are different, we can find reasons in grammar or pragmatics. Thus we can clarify some improper ideas of the comparison of English and Chinese sentences order, and make a little contribution to the research in this field.
