The phenomenon of reduplication has a long history in Chinese, which can trace back to some documents of pre-Qin period, such as The Book of Songs and The Book of History. In Chinese traditional classic study, it has been called " tautology ". Reduplication is an important grammar in Chinese. Compared with Indo-European family which has rich forms, Chinese lack of morphological. But it has a lot of reduplication change, including noun reduplication、verb reduplication、adjective reduplication、classifier reduplication and numeral reduplication. The outstanding features that adjective reduplication is different from others are various categories of reduplication, abundant patterns and variety of the same origins, some outstanding features in the forms, the overall format is rich, with prominent characteristics of a fundamental type variety. So adjective reduplication has been a linguistic important research subject.In this paper, we based on Chinese ontology research and made statistical analysis on the errors that the foreign students made in Chinese learning. Accordingly, we will give some teaching advice to improve the teaching result.There are five parts in the paper.The first part is the introduction. In this part I will introduce research motivation、 former achievements、research range、research significance and research method.The second part, I will show the five major forms of the adjective reduplication that will be studied.The third part, I will make study of the adjective reduplication in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Based on the adjective reduplication on a set of Chinese textbooks and the errors on HSK corpus, I will summarize the type and the reasons of the error.The fourth part, there are some advice about how to make textbook, how to teach and how to study.The fifth part is conclusion, summarizes the full text.
