This essay places significant effort into the research and analysis into the addition of piano music into Han Folk Music of the Western Inner Mongolian region. Han Folk Music of the Western Inner Mongolian region was born out of richly blended of different cultures as well as the close ties from neighboring cities and provinces. Therefore, this kind of folk music has traces of the influence of difference cultural, particularly evidenced in form, beat, rhythm, and lyrics; it has the trade mark of seamless of blend of Han-Mongo culture, as well as traces of folk songs from Shanxi, Shanxxi, and Gansu provinces. In this study, the writer analyzed the form of piano-influenced folk music from different angle.There are four chapters in this study. First chapter; the illustration of the essence of Han Folk Music of the Western Inner Mongolian Region. In this chapter, the writer will firstly demonstrate the historical background and cultural influences of Han Folk Music of the Western Inner Mongolian Region. The second part of this chapter, the writer provides a detail analysis of the essence of this folk music by selecting seven sample pieces of music that exactly demonstrate the influence piano has with particular in melody,tone,scale,and music structure. This will lead into our second chapter, which is to compare and analyze of piano music and piano accompaniment of folk music.Second Chapter; The creative method of Han Folk Music of the Western Inner Mongolian Region with the addition of piano, this is an important part of this study.
