After the outbreak of full-scale anti-Japanese war, Koumintang Government conducted powerful propaganda towards America via increasing the number of propaganda agencies, reinforcing the broadcasting over America, sending celebrities to canvass in America, and making full utility of foreign medias, in order to make the American policy shift to a pro-China tendency. Although Japanese invasion violated the interests of America in China, the expansion of German fascists hindered America from paying excessive attention to Fast East. At the same time, America adopted the Wait-to-See attitude on Chinese battlefield in order to maintain the considerable trade profits between America and Japan. The aim of the propaganda of Kuomintang Government towards US in this period was to cause the sympathy and obtain aids from American as well as crack down on Japan. After the Pacific-War, American expected that China could hindered the steps of Japanese invasion in order to enable US to tackle the European battlefield firstly. Thus, Koumintang Government adjusted their strategies of propaganda towards US correspondingly. Koumintang Government conducted positive propaganda efforts urging American to change their Europe First Asia Second policy and pay more attention to Chinese battlefield.The propaganda strategies of Koumintang Government towards US was successful and it got remarkable effects after the outbreak of the Pacific War consequently. This dissertation is trying to analyse the propaganda strategies of Koumintang Government and the corresponding effects in different stages of full-scale Anti-Japanese war and unscramble the relationship between the propaganda and the progressive course of the war.
