Wang Si-ren's Personality And Literary Works

This thesis is mainly about Wang Si-ren's personality and thought on art, so as to have the lifeway and thought of conscientious intellectuals in late Ming Dynasty recurred to us. This thesis gives prominence to Wang Si-ren's various characters.This thesis is composed with four parts. Researches on Wang Si-ren was summarized in the first part; the second part is mainly about Wang Si-ren's personality; the third part is about Wang Si-ren's thought on literature and his literary works; the forth part is a conclusion. I think, though a writer's personality is not always accordant with his literary styles, but they usually interact. We can know composers' personality by analyzing their works, and we also can know his literary style by analyzing their personality. In this thesis, I try best to reveal Wang Si-ren's principled and naive characters as a literator through his behavior when he was acting as a official, law-officer and military officer. These characters can also be saw in this literary works. From all of these analyses, we can know his status in the literary history.
