The Characteristic And Countermeasures About The Occupational Psychology Of Students In Higher Vocational Colleges

With the adjustment of the development of social economy and industrial structure, our country have developed high education greatly to train more and more advanced and skilled workers to meet the need of the development. So more and more students graduate from college or university, but not all of them find jobs, especially the students from vocational colleges. Through the survey and psychological tests, we got the following results: (1) Many of them have no practical idea about job. (2) Some of them are short of the sense of responsibility for society. (3) The majority of them have correct tendency of occupation which is identical with the aims of training. The type of tendency of occupation can be: social type, regular type, art type, enterprise type, practical type, research type. (4) To the tendency of occupation, there is obvious difference between male and female, but not between grades.(5) The sense of obtaining employment is not enough and nearly 50% of them are not clear about their own ability,60% of them have no idea to go to work. (6) Some of them don't know how to prepare for the career. According to the survey and research, some suggestions are given: (1) Find more posts for them. (2) Create good atmosphere for employment.(3) The higher vocational colleges adjust courses which train the students to meet the needs of market forces. (4) Strengthen the education of healthy psychology and the instruction of obtaining employment, which is to lead students to set up correct idea of obtaining employment and science view of choosing profession and help them adjust the incorrect view of choosing profession.
