| This text takes the textbook of the principle of the dialectical materialism and the historical materialism which is published by Chinese Renmin University publishing company in which editions are printed, to analyse the trend of modern Marxist philosophy development in China. From the understanding of two parts (the dialectical materialism and the historical materialism ) and four sections (including the materialism, the dialectics, theory of knowledge and historical thought) to "the point of practice is the first and basic point", modern scholars' understanding of Marxist philosophy is different with the philosophy textbook edited by Aisiqi in the 1960s. In the first edition of the Principle, the textbook takes the point that the historical materialism is the application of the dialectical materialism. In the second and third edition of the Principle, this point was revised but the basic train of thought was carried on as before. In the forth edition of the Principle, the editors tried to reconstruct the theoretical frame of Marxist philosophy with the point of "practical materialism with characteristic of dialectical and historical". In the fifth edition, the editors tried to make the dialectical materialism and the historical materialism integration in the practical angle. Meantime, the editors also thought the problem of acclimatization with Chinese culture of Marist philosophy deeply.From the order of philosophy textbook printed by Chinese Renmin University publishing company, we can see that the development of Marist philosophy is associated with the acclimatization with Chinese culture. Although the understanding of the fourth and fifth editions of the principle can not necessarily represent the tallest theories level of the Chinese Marxist philosophy development, but this attitude towards Marxist philosophy will provide thinking material and impetus for the future development of Chinese philosophy.
