The reception of Anderson's fairy tales in China and their far-reaching influence on Chinese writer's creation, especially on children's literature, which constitutes a unique cross-cultural phenomenon in China. As a borrowed textuality of Anderson's tales, which to be read,to be introduced,to be interpreted, the reception of Anderson's fairy tales was changed with its transformation of context. It has acted out different expectation in different history period & different reception situation. This thesis aims to review the popularization of Anderson's fairy tales with more points of view of spirit/culture/aesthetic than that of moral and politics in contemporary China, and expound the classical character of Anderson's fairy tales as well as its contemporary value.
