Supervisory commitment is the employee's identification with the value, traits and behavior of his direct supervisor, as well as employee's inclination of continuously working in the department.More than 800 employees have been surveyed with the Supervisory commitment's questionnaire designed by myself and other related questionnaires. Several statistic methods such as exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), analysis of variance (ANOVA), and structural equation model (SEM) have been applied for data analysis. The structural model of Supervisory commitment in China has been put forward. The conclusions were drawn as follows:1. For Chinese employees, supervisory commitment scale is comprised of three dimensions: supervisor's traits, supervisor's concern for employees, professional moralities.2. Several factors influence supervisory commitment significantly, such as perceived leader's trust and perceived supervisory support. There is a positive correlation between supervisory commitment and them.3.Supervisory commitment significantly influences job satisfaction, self-rating performance, turnover intention. There are a positive correlation between supervisory commitment and job satisfaction, self-rating performance, a negative correlation between supervisory commitment and turnover intention.4. Significant differences of supervisory commitment were found comparing the staff with different educational levels, different organizational tenures, different hierarchical levels, and different company's ownerships. However, there are no significant differences in comparing the staff with different genders, different ages.5. There are three-set significant correlations between factors of supervisory commitment and factors of Chinese leadship theory (CPM),such as supervisor's traits vs P factor, supervisor's concern for employees vs M factor, professional moralities vs C factor.
