The Study On Guangxi's Warehouse Storage In The Qing Dynasty

Warehouse storage is an important form of grain storage in ancient China, it originated Yi-cang which established in Sui dynasty .Because it was set up in civil,it is also known as a community warehouse. However,Yi-cang moved into the city in the Sui and Tang dynasties period,warehouse storage did not exist .In the South Song dynasty Zhu xi established the rules of warehouse,following with generations,marking the positions of rehabilitation of warehous. Because of its management,the source of grain and location of distribution were more "near peasants",it could often compensate for the lack of Chan-Ping official storage, and since its emergence,successive rulers of every dynasty would pay attention and promote. "it not only ease poverty of peasant and ease worried mood of the emperor……For increasing country's wealth , the warehouses would be built ;for enhancing country's foundation , the warehouse would be built. "Since emperor had paid more attention to the warehouse in the Qing dynasty,the building of warehouse got the highest level. And the building of warehouse was convenience for peasants,meanwhile,it had also become an important rule tool for the rulers.Papers include five main parts. The first part introduces the evolution of Guangxi's warehouse in the Qing dynasty . Guangxi's warehousing thinking and practice before the Qing dynasty had been existence .Because of the social realities in Guangxi and the building needs of border and the ideological consideration of imperial storage in the early Qing dynasty ,and local officials positive response ,these provided favorable positions and historical background to the rise of the Qing dynasty in Guangxi . The evolution of Guangxi's warehouse system had difference ,the war of period of Emperor Xianfengd and Emperor Tongzhi was the turning-point. It could divide two period of developing and declining. The developing and decling of warehous kept unanimity with the developing and decling of Qing dynasty .The period of Emperor Yong Zheng and Qianlong was the golden age of development of Guangxi's warehouse . Whether in the building of systems, or in the distribution of warehouse,operation and practical utility. After the war of period of Emperor Xianfeng and Emperor Tongzhi , major changes had occurred ,for example frequent natural disasters, the growing impoverishment of the people, smallholder's agriculture was under attacking,and external nation races'invasion,these had a long-term impact to then society, despite the rehabilitation of warehouse system, but it eventually declined .The second Part specifically analysised elements of warehouse constructions of Guangxi in the Qing dynasty. The paper inspected warehouse constructions of Guangxi from the nature, distribution characteristics, sources of grain and operation and management. In the early and middle of Qing dynasty Guangxi's warehoous choiced local honest and prestige people to manage warehous.However,its official color was evry obvious.
