Practical Aesthetics as a trend of thought, Li Zehou founded its basic principals between 1950s-1960s , while Zhu Guangqian started another dimension according to the different understandings to Marx's practical viewpoint. Li Zehou and Zhu Guangqian had different points of view on it, although they both emphersized practice and humanizing nature. Li Zehou difined practical viewpoint as material produce,differenciating it from other human's activities such as art produces. He believed all the beauties were the results of material produce combining with human's activities. Zhu Guangqian believed the communality between material produce and art produces . He explained humanizing nature by using feelings and humanizing consciousness. Nature was the recognizing and emotional targets of human. Once human recognize or express their feelings, nature will be humanized。It is the basic differnce between them. Li Zehou thought what Zhu Guangqian called humanizing nature was not the Marx's humanizing. Marx's humanizing nature was the achievement of material produces. In conclusion, Li Zehou and Zhu Guangqian's aesthetic controversion was due to the different understandings to the concept of Marx's practical viewpoint. Zhu's was broadsense, while Li's was material produce.The reason of Zhu Guangqian regarding art produces as a kind of practice was that he explained practice from the sense of aesthetic judgement.,material produce and spirit produce were coherent, while spiritual creation and spirit produce was the essential character of aesthetic. The reason of Li Zehou regarding practice as human's material produce was that he explained practice from human's character, making and using tools.Li Zehou's Practical Aesthetics focused on the society and material of the beauty, and devaluated to the spirit and individual of beauty,which made beauty lose individual value and practical base.Zhu Guangqian's Practical Aesthetics regarded art as a kind of production labor, and insisted to emphasize spiritual practice and subjective activity, which was criticized by Li Zehou's Practical Aesthetics when it was put forward and established, while it was just need of Li Zehou's esthtic thought, therefore, to some extent, Zhu Guangqian's thought was a kind of correction and conpensation of Li Zehou's Practical Aesthetics.At that time because Li Zehou was reluctant to abandon his practical view in order to insist the principle which he established.He also didn't want to bring the art production practical into"practice"so that the weakness of esthetic theory was not get to be repaired.Because Zhu Guangqian insisted the spirit of the fulfillment ,which seemed to have particularity,his Praxis Aesthetic was rejected unreasonablely out of the door of Practical Aesthetics .Li Zehou ,as a main representive person of Practical Aesthetics ,explored the practical connotation from theory level and wanted to resolve this related problem .However ,he constrains himself within material production practice,which made his esthetic thought hard to avoid the inside strain .
