On The Development Of Foreign Language Educational Technology In China Based On The Journal "Educational Technology For Foreign Language Teaching"

This paper summarizes the development and trend in foreign language educational technology (FLET) in China based on 100 issues of "Educational Technology for Foreign Language Teaching(ETFLT) " . The author believes that theory and practice are going to be integrated from separation; that hardware and software are going to be equally essential from hardware-focusedness; and that teaching and learning are equally important from teaching-orientedness.Based on the statistics and reading of the articles in ETFLT, the author presents the achievement and shortcomings in FLET and analyzes the factors which facilitate and hinders the development. Based on the analysis above, the author predicts the trend in FLET in two perspectives.
