The decline of the Chinese modern print and its marginalized in Chinese contemporary art become a fact without controversy in the art world. Most of theories and critical articles about Chinese contemporary print ascribe the reason of the decline of the print and its marginalized to the reason of the print itself. While the important art critics seldom concern the problems of the Chinese contemporary print, or explore the reason of the decline of the print and its marginalizing. They can not analyze and verify the true reason for the problems existing in print, as well as can not find the possibility to solve the problems.Due to the print's character of the art language itself and the printmaker's not going on with the language transformation of contemporary art for print and pursuing the material language for print, they could not form the ubiquity of the aesthetic purism for print, the self-discipline for print's art language and the determinism for print's technique language.
